Ms. Carol Ann Minton

Carol Ann Minton, age 79, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, at Craighead County Nursing Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born in Walnut Ridge to the late Ray and Ruby Luther and grew up in Egypt, Arkansas. For many years, Carol attended the Church of Christ in Light, Arkansas. Carol was a beautiful, classy lady who was always dressed to perfection—whether out on the town or working on the farm. She carried herself with grace, style, and confidence. With her quick wit and sharp sense of humor, she loved telling jokes and could always make those around her laugh. She was known for her honesty—never one to sugarcoat or look the other way, she would always “call it like it was.” While her bluntness sometimes made people pause, those who knew her best respected her deeply and admired her for always speaking the truth. Once you met her, you could never forget her. Behind her boldness was a generous heart. Carol was giving by nature and always willing to help others, even if it meant giving the shirt off her back. She loved deeply, cared wholeheartedly, and left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed her path. Carol spent many years as a hairdresser in Fontaine, Arkansas and later worked at the post office in Walcott, Arkansas, where she served at the front desk and sorted mail. Her family and friends will remember her as sassy yet kind, honest yet loving—a woman full of spirit, laughter, and compassion. She never met a stranger, and she will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Ruby (Crow) Luther and a brother Melvin "Bud" Pickrell. Carol is survived by her two children, Sandy (Scott) Ford and Gregg Minton; five grandchildren Tyler (Jordan) Fletcher, Tanner Fletcher, Kaylyn (Barry) Vaughn, Lauren (Zac) McCullar and Sydney (Hunter) Tubbs; 11 great-grandchildren Bleddyn, Evelyn, Marabelle, Oaklyn, Dash, Addyson, Margot, Halle, Kade, Collin and Karter, with one on the way Loxie Ann; her brother, Danny Luther; a cherished friend Raymond Minton, who held a special place in her heart, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In honoring Carol's wishes there will be a special gathering of family and friends. Details will be shared once arrangements are complete.
