Ms. Ruby Faye Taylor

Ruby Faye Taylor, 72, of Osceola, Arkansas passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2025, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born on October 6, 1953, and was the daughter of the late Shelton and Vivian (Fields) Branscum. Ruby grew up in Blytheville on McHaney Street during a time when life was much simpler. It was a close-knit neighborhood where everyone knew one another, neighbors watched out for each other’s children, and families took care of one another. Those early years helped shape Ruby into the kind, caring woman she became. Ruby devoted several years of her life to public service, working as a dispatcher for the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department and later for the Kennett, Missouri Police Department. Her calm voice, quick thinking, and caring nature made her a comfort to many during moments of crisis. She truly never met a stranger. Though she rarely went out, when she did, she was always the life of the party—known for her infectious laugh, warm spirit, and big, beautiful smile. Ruby was of the Baptist faith and carried her beliefs quietly but faithfully. Above all else, Ruby was immensely proud of her son, Jason, and his accomplishments in life. She affectionately called him “J. Michael,” her black-haired, brown-eyed baby boy. Her love for him knew no bounds. Ruby is now reunited with her beloved little dog, “Baby Girl,” whose passing years ago left a hole in her heart that never truly healed. For simple pleasures, Ruby enjoyed reading the National Enquirer and keeping up with the world in her own unique way. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Branscum, Jimmy Branscum, and Robert Branscum; two sisters, Betty Williams and Shirley Moody. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Jason Taylor and his wife, Billie Ann; two grandsons, Glen David Sanders and his wife, Lexy, of St. Augustine, Florida, and Christopher Michael Taylor of Gosnell, Arkansas; two great-grandchildren, Harper Reese and Ellie Mae: two sisters, Linda Harvison of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Anita Kay Branscum of Florida; and one brother, Charlie Branscum of Blytheville, Arkansas.
