Mr. Donnie Lynn Barnes

September 14, 1961 - February 2, 2022

Donnie Lynn Barnes 60, of Powhatan passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his home. Born and raised in Joiner, Arkansas, Donnie graduated from Shawnee High School. He always looked forward to going to mommas house for Sunday dinner with family. Donnie was an easygoing man who loved the outdoors, loved his family and loved sharing a laugh or a joke with his buddies. He was an avid deer hunter who enjoyed spending time with his kids, watching westerns and barbecuing for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Aubrey (Goldman) Barnes; one sister Barbara Jean Wyatt; two brother in laws Jimmy Vanvickle and CW Butler. Donnie leaves behind his wife of 25 years Vivian (Harston) Barnes of Keiser, Arkansas; two sons Kevin Barnes & Randy Barnes both of Paragould, Arkansas; three grandchildren; one brother Billy Barnes of Blytheville, Arkansas; three sisters Peggy Butler of Powhatan, Arkansas, Gloria Ann Vanvickle of Crawfordsville, Arkansas and Janet (Billy) Harston of Powhatan, Arkansas and many life long friends. There will be a private family memorial to honor Donnie’s life at a later date so expressions of sympathy should be sent directly to the family.
