Mr. Gary Wayne Stout

September 29, 1954 - December 12, 2021

His golden heart stopped beating because God knew his fight had been won. The Sailor's Creed states, “I represent the fighting spirit of the Navy and those who have gone before me…” Gary served his country, its people, his family, and community, with courage, honor, and pride. The Navy Chiefs Creed states, “…you have joined an exclusive Fellowship and as in all Fellowships, you have a special responsibility to your comrades…” Gary took this responsibility to heart. He stayed strong and straight until it was time for him to give up the watch. His Family and Friends were with him to say Fair Winds and Following Seas as Chief departed this realm to now serve at the right hand of the Father. Gary Wayne Stout, 67, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, in Jonesboro from esophageal cancer the second time around. Born in Fenton, Michigan. Gary was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, Willie Lee Stout and Geneva Stout as well as a brother Terry Stout, he was survived in death by his wife, Cheryl “Cherri” Stout, bothers James Stout(Vicki) and Dennis Stout (Dana) , sisters Carolyn Babb and Janette Stout, children Mike Stout (Paige), Ricky Pilger (Tina), Kelly Woytenko (Tim), Alison Small (Stan), Jenn Stout, 12 grandchildren, and 5 Great grandchildren, and 1 Fur child. Memorial service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia with full Military Honors. Expressions of sympathy should be sent directly to the family.
