Mrs. Glynda Marrero

September 23, 1944 - December 12, 2020

Glynda Marrero, 76, of West Memphis, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 12, 2020 with her loving husband by her side. Before retirement Glynda was a successful business owner serving as a private courier service for several hospitals in the Delta. She was a long-time member of the 40 & 8 Arkansas Voiture 1521 which is where she met and fell in love with a man that absolutely adored her. Glynda shared over 15 years with her husband Jose Marrero. She was more than just a good wife and mother. When she took her last breath, Jose lost his best friend, confidant, partner in crime, the woman he loved with all his heart and soulmate. She was born in Lepanto to Glenn and Carrie Barton in September of 1944. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son in law George Boylan. Glynda leaves behind her husband Jose Marrero of West Memphis, Arkansas; three daughters Kimberly Boylan of Illinois, Angela Herndon Wert of Tennessee and Sabrina (Kevin) Jehle of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren Carrie (Jeff) Hevrin, Jackie Boylan, Lauren Boylan, Chris Wert & Devan Wert all of Illinois and Pete Wert of Tennessee; seven great grandchildren Julia Hevrin, Joshua Hevrin, Mason Wert, Cooper Wert, Willow Wert, Haden Wacker and Conner Wacker; two brothers Ronnie (Jenny) Barton of Osceola, Arkansas and Johnny Barton; one sister Pam (Briggs) Keeton of Marion, Arkansas; mother and father in law Jose and Carmen Marrero of Maryland; along with many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
