April 20, 1949 - February 27, 2021
Ms. Margaret Ann Callahan died on February 27, 2021, at Green Acres Nursing Home in Paragould, Arkansas. She was born to Lester and Shirley Adams in April of 1949 and grew up in Peach Orchard. Margaret had a successful career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and spent many years at the Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was bold, independent and stubborn. She had an infectious laugh and a sense of humor that kept us all on our toes. Margaret never met a stranger, and was always willing to share a story to ease your mind, or give you a good laugh. I know many of us can hear her telling one of her famous stories, which we can keep in our hearts forever. She always spoke her mind, regardless of who was around. Margaret was known to never sugar coat anything, which was a blessing and a curse at times. Her greatest love was her family with whom she treasured each moment and occasion. She loved to take her grandchildren on adventures to various places including Branson and Magic Springs to see them laugh and have fun. Margaret loved spending time with them, whether it was making breakfast on a Saturday morning, going to the movies or playing a game, she valued that time. It meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Shirley May Adams; three sisters Shirley Norwood, Renea Adams and Deana Summers; and two nieces Brandi Hill and Casey Snodgrass. Margaret is survived by her two sons Scott Callahan and Jason Callahan both of Paragould, AR; four grandchildren Kara (Nathan) Eno of Paragould, Arkansas, Payton (April) Callahan of Strawberry, Arkansas, Kaylee Callahan of Little Rock, Arkansas and Preston Callahan of Paragould, Arkansas; four great grandchildren Zaylee Eno, Jagger Eno, Harley Callahan and Bearyan Callahan; two sisters LaDonna Adams of Memphis, Tennessee and Barbara Bounds of New Mexico; and a host of nieces, nephews, and life long friends. There will be a private graveside Memorial Service for family to honor Margaret at a later date. Expressions of sympathy should be sent directly to the family. Tri-City LLC Crematory Funeral Home is honored and privileged to serve the family of Margaret Callahan. Online condolences may be expressed at www.Tri-CityLLC.com .
