July 24, 1946 - June 2, 2020
Nancy Sue Welch, 73 of Wynne, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 2, 2020 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She lived graciously and courageously with cancer until the very end. In many, many ways, by inspiring and teaching us, she won her battle in other very important ways. Nancy was an amazing person inside and out. She touched and inspired so many lives with her outlook on life, family and living. She was born in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas July of 1946 to the late Lloyd and Velma Diebold. Nancy was a Cosmetologist by trade, however she later joined the United States Army Corps of Engineers where she retired from a long successful career. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. While she had many accomplishments during her life, what Nancy was most proud of was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining. Nancy loved to laugh and was happiest when the family was all together making memories, eating, drinking and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd Sr. and Velma (Marsh) Diebold, two sisters Janice Diebold Ferrill and Paula Diebold Anderson, and one brother Robert Thomas "Bob Tom" Diebold. Nancy is survived by her two sons Earl House Jr (Stephanie) of Forrest City, Arkansas and Corbin House of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother Lloyd "Buddy" Diebold Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas and one sister Velma "Doll" Johncox of Vandale, Arkansas. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends. There will be a Celebration of Life in Wynne, Arkansas on June 28, 2020 for family and friends.
