Mr. Michael Gene Crum

Michael Gene Crum, 62, of Black Rock, Arkansas, passed away on September 5, 2026, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Michael was born on December 16, 1963, in Jonesboro to Bobby Gail Crum and Dora Sue (Martin) Crum. He grew up in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, where he attended school, played basketball, and proudly graduated from Walnut Ridge High School in 1982. For many years, Michael worked as a local truck driver for Peco Foods. He was a hardworking man and devoted provider who took great pride in caring for his family. Above all else, Michael was a family man. He deeply loved his wife, children, and grandchildren and was always looking out for those he loved. Michael and his wife, Yvette, shared more than 35 years of marriage and built a life centered around family. Those who knew Michael will remember him as a genuinely good man with a kind heart and a natural charm that made people feel welcome. Whether he was visiting with an old friend or speaking with someone he had just met, Michael usually had a kind word to offer. He believed in lifting people up rather than tearing them down, and his kindness earned him many true and lasting friendships. Michael was blessed with friendships that remained strong even when friends did not see one another every day. Time and distance never seemed to matter; whenever they came together, they simply picked up where they had left off. They looked out for one another, encouraged one another, and shared a bond built on loyalty and respect. Michael treasured those friendships, just as his friends treasured him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Gail Crum and Dora Sue (Martin) Crum; and his stepmother, Jeanette Crum, whom he loved and deeply respected. Michael leaves behind his wife, Yvette (Louthain) Crum of Black Rock; two children, Kalee Crum and Kyler Crum, both of Black Rock; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Owens, Roran Crum, and Liam Crum; his brother, Mark Crum and wife, April, of Black Rock; and a special nephew, Lane Harrison of Black Rock. He also leaves behind many extended family members, lifelong friends, and others whose lives were made a little better simply by knowing him. A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Details will be announced once arrangements are complete.
