Mr. Timothy Wayne Smart

Timothy Wayne Smart, 54, of Rector, Arkansas, passed peacefully at his home on June 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 2, 1970, in Kennett, Missouri, Tim lived a life full of faith, family, and quiet strength. A devoted member of the First Apostolic Church of Corning, Tim served faithfully as an usher until his health no longer allowed. He was known for greeting everyone with a warm smile. His presence at church was steady, dependable, and rooted in sincere faith. On April 20, 2013, Tim married his best friend and soulmate, Patty Jo. Together, they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and the joy of shared family. His eyes lit up most when he was surrounded by his grandchildren, whom he adored deeply. Tim had a curious mind and enjoyed reading and watching the History Channel. Music played a special role in his life, providing comfort, inspiration, and connection. Above all, Tim’s legacy is one of faith, humility, and a steadfast devotion to those he loved. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Rose Smart; his cherished cousin, Regina Branum; and his dear aunt, Virginia “Ginger” Head. Their memory remained close to his heart. Tim leaves behind his wife Patty Jo Smart; two children Jared David Conner and Cydni Catherine Coleman; seven beautiful grandchildren: Brayden Raeanne Layne Conner, Rayne McKenna Conner, Liam Emery Conner, Dalton Levi Conner, Zachary David Coleman, Silas Michael Coleman, and Amelia Rose Tinsley along with a many life long friends. A memorial service celebrating Tim’s life will be held on June 8, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the First Apostolic Church of Corning, with Pastor Troy Johnson officiating. Tim believed in finishing the race of life with faith and courage. Two scriptures that reflected his heart are: “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life…” – 1 Timothy 6:12 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7 He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
